take me home..
i finally remembered one of my dreams. we were at my grandmother's house. though, different from any grandmother's real house. and even though it was late, maybe one-ish in the morning or later.. we decided to call my father so we could see him. and we waited outside for him to arrive. we waited at one end of the house, where, for some reason, the neighbor's driveway leads to.finally, after a long trip for him.. we saw him pull into the appropriate driveway. even my mother was excited to see her ex-husband cuz she's a bitch like that. he wasn't alone, though. he brought his grandmother with him (who is also deceased).
inside the house, i hugged my great-grandmother and she went into the kitchen. then, after most everyone went into the kitchen, i approached my father. it was a long time since i'd seen him. i'd grown a lot. he was tall, very skinny, and his skin was red and flaky. i ignored it and i held him for a while.
oh, to have my own father in my arms..
then we were all in the kitchen and we were all eating. my grandmother (mother's mother) was eating salad after salad. really piling it on. it was kinda weird.
